The annual Gedächtnismess (memorial mass) is an important part of our Vereinsleben (club life). Each year we give honor to all our deceased members, but especially to members who have passed away since the last mass. Our friends from the Austrian Society join us for a special mass that includes music by Edelweiss's wonderful musicians and singers. After the mass, we gather in the fellowship hall for a few hours to eat and socialize (yes, a little music happens, too!). The mass is open to anyone who would like to attend. The luncheon is $10 to cover the cost of beer, wine, soft drinks, bread, and meat trays, as well as the donations to the church. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. The result is about 20 feet of lunch and dessert buffet! So much good food. And so much good fellowship with people we know. If you've never been, please consider attending this lovely afternoon.
Held at St. Clement Church, 343 South Main Street, Romeo, MI - Mass at 2 pm, luncheon following
